This project took place in Lisbon, where I did my Erasmus.
Location of the plot in the city context.
First, we had to search for a plot which interested us in the city center of Lisbon, called Baixa. We found an inside garden with lots of level differences and possibilities. The garden was enclosed by buildings which made it seem unconnected.

We installed a kindergarten as obliged by the assignment. The plot was situated very close to the center, which gave us the opportunity to connect the school with the city. The school contributes to the city as an educational function. And the other way around, the city and its inhabitants had access to some spaces in the school and worked as a shortcut to move to the hill laying behind it.
The kindergarten became a network that spread its fingers from within the enclosed garden connecting with other cultural functions in the city.
